Valve Seals

Valve seals are found in the cylinder head. They are located around the valve stems and prevent oil from flowing past the valves into the cylinder head (combustion chamber). Leaking valve seals are often the cause of a smoking engine and higher oil consumption. The leakage is caused by hardening and wear of the material, causing them to no longer fit properly to the valve stem.

Oil consumption due to hardened valve seals is often age related. When the problem occurs we advise to replace all valve seals immediately. Available at Motoshop Europe for almost every modern engine brand and type.
