Inside the engine clutch are lined and steel intermediate plates that are pressed together by coil springs, which ensure that the crankshaft and gearbox are connected.

When those springs are worn out, they need to be replaced. You can choose the factory OEM ones, or you can choose reinforced springs, which provide better clutch separation and effectively prevent slippage.
